After a really cold, really wet and muddy riding lesson, they have a nice furnished barn with heat and a beach like shower head that sticks out of the wall and drains into a concrete enclosure on the side of the barn.
I asked her if it would be okay if I used it before I changed into my jeans and sweatshirt to drive home. She said it was okay, and even offered to get me a beach towel.
Well, I’m not sure what she expected………. but when I take a shower I usually get undressed, don’t you?
I wasn’t in the stall for more than about 3 minutes, when her and two other girls came around the corner. She totally didn’t care, and continued to talk to me completely normal even though I was completely naked.
The other two girls backed up a little, and I could see them gasp and cover their mouths, but she asked me if I still wanted to towel, and asked me if the water was warm enough. Then she took her sweet time, and looked back at the other two and said, "well I suppose we should give him some privacy." She smiled and walked away.
I guess it was her barn, and she is a super cute, but not at all shy farm type girl…. So maybe this is normal???
What all is involved in installing plumbing in a concrete slab?
My house’s attached garage was converted to a 1 bedroom apartment with a full bath and kitchenette by the previous owner. My husband and I would like for his mother to move in with us, and the apartment would be the ideal place. But, I was wanting to make the bathroom a little more accessible for someone in a wheelchair or with a walker. As it is, it’s barely usable by us able-bodied people. The toilet is jammed into a corner with NO clearance on one side, and the shower stall is too close to get out without having to scoot around the toilet.
I know rearranging is going to involve busting up the concrete and re-plumbing the lines. I’m sure my usual plumber guy (he’s done my well and furnace & AC) can do the work, but while he’s a great guy and does great work and never gripes about coming back to fix stuff, he tends to assure us how easy something will be and low-balls the final price and we wind up haggling with him.
We’ll be removing the shower stall in favor of a tub/shower deal and moving it, the toilet, and sink all along the same wall and hopefully, the same pipes. Again, this used to be a garage, so my guess is it’s a 4"-6" concrete slab. What all is going to have to happen with this project? Aside from buying new fixtures, what’s the typical price range for a job like this?
When cutting the tiles for the corner of the shower stall is there a certain way this should be done?
should I cut the tile so a corner Bede of grout should go in , by this I mean both tiles that come together should have that space between just like the walls . or is one side good enough for the Bede to be on meaning that one side of the tile goes in and the other side has the gap and not in the direct corner

I have a standup shower stall in my bathroom. The walls are made of wood and I’ve noticed the wood is rotting and getting soft and spongy. I’m guessing they will need to be replaced. My Bathroom (the one room I wish I could change), has a light pink wall tile and off white with a pink hue floor tile. There are seashells on a few of the tile in the shower. I want dark bold colors for the new seasons but can’t figure out what will look good. I’ve had dark gray and blue and am tired of them. Can I use reds or should I stick to black and greens?
